Information about business partners in their specific roles (customers, suppliers) can be easily integrated with telephony applications such as XPhone®. Thus, when answering a call, the employee of the client-company already knows who he or she is talking to, the company the caller represents, and the customer or supplier ID is displayed in a pop-up. With this Business Partner ID, the employee can query the SAP system and offer the solution directly over the phone or forward the call to the employee inside the company best able to help the client or the provider who initiated the phone call.
The list of business partners can also be integrated with Microsoft Outlook®. Thus, distribution lists can be created for certain types of partners.
The most complex integration of SAP ERP is with a webshop that can take orders from customers and create sales orders in SAP.
